Customer Letter 2:
St. Petersburg Times

Today we continue with readers' nominations to the customer service Hall of Fame.
Acme Air Conditioning, St. Petersburg: "In late January, during
the coldest spell of the year, our furnace quit working. I
called Acme Air Conditioning, and it sent out a technician
on a Saturday. He worked for two hours to get it working,
which it did for a little while, then quit again. It took
more service calls before the bad part could be found and
replaced and heat was on. During that time, owner Lorin Bridge
called to see how we were doing; I really appreciated that.
The company never charged for the repeat service calls. The
repairman was so diligent and worked so hard that I sent a
letter to Mr. Bridge telling him about it. It is wonderful
to know there is a company that has integrity and can be relied
upon."
